Be Real!

Be Real!
By: Amber Johnson

Can’t people just be real
And not just try to match everyone else’s ideal
Instead livin how Christ would want
They bring about attitudes and moods they flaunt
It all changes when they get home
But everyone outside thinks that they know ‘em

Can’t we just live for Christ
Remembering the price
He paid
The life that he laid
Down to raise it up
For us to drink from His cup

All this life should be
Is what we see
When we read His Word
How come that Truth gets blurred?

I am a Jesus Freak
Let it be heard
That all I want to do is follow His Word
I don’t want to be involved in others acting
In a show to bring on the reacting
I want to be
The way Christ would have me
Being truthful, loving, and reaching
Not for the approval of others but for His teaching

I am just saying what I feel
That I pray everyone sees that Christ is the real deal
In Him we should follow
Leaving the acting, so distracting, it’s hollow
Live for Christ and no other
Be real in Christ and let that be the stunner

Hope in the Rainbows
By: Amber Johnson

God knows all my needs
He sees when I bleed
Christ is always there
Showing He cares
I cry out, my tears fall
I feel so small
Yet God Almighty still hears my call

There is no place too deep
No place Christ can’t see me weep
Jesus wraps His loving arms around
All the pieces in me that are down
His love, mercy, and grace surround me
Answering my pleas
Making me see
the best place to be
is on my knees

I have hope in the rainbows
Faith that my prayers make better tomorrows
Healing me and my loved one’s sorrows
I praise the Lord
With all my heart and soul on-board
He is the reason I am restored

He is the reason I am me
He provides my every need
Makes me secure
Holds me through trials while I mature
Is there as my friend
On whom I depend
My stable rock until the end

Reminders to Love Him Back

Just think today how much the Lord loves you. Look around you, look up at the sky, smell the gorgeous flowers and roses along your path, feel the wind on your face, take in the towering trees, relish in the grandeur of the mountains, and know that God did it all for you. Everything that takes your breath away was put there so when you can't breathe you remember who gives you that breath every second of every day and keeps that awestruck heart beating- God. He loves you enough to remind you He is there and loves you so don't forget to show Him you love Him back.

Don't Forget to Smile

Don't Forget to Smile!
God is the ultimate healer. My best day is my best day because the Lord is sustaining me, protecting me, and helping me. He is lifting me up and blessing me with His promises. Yet, even when i am faced with the days when I don't feel so great there is more than enough hope in the Lord to make that not so good day, great. He is the bright light at the end of that tunnel you need to walk through. He is that helping hand to get you through. He is the solid foundation you can stand on to keep you from sinking. He is the one who makes all things right. Jesus is the ultimate healer for your soul, your body, and your life. If your day, your soul, and your body are not at their best surrender them to the Lord. Invite Christ into your day, into your heart, and into your life to do what He does best...makes the ordinary into extraordinary and the okay into great. Jesus can turn your life around and put a smile on your face when you don't think there should or could be one there. Trust me I am living proof :D. Jesus is the reason for the smiles, the hope, and the joy. Accept Him today and exchange that frown for a bright smile in Christ, turn in the despair for hope, and exalt Him with all the joy and peace you receive in Him. Jesus not only can but will change your life if you let Him. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior show it!!! If He saved you, healed you, and helped you, remember, and be overwhelmed with joy and happiness, tell everyone and don't forget to smile!!!

Today..

JUSTIFIED

Justified...just as if I never sinned.  Jesus died on the cross for ALL our sins and His glorious purifying blood covers us to make us righteous and justified before the Almighty God. Can you wrap your mind around that?  What a Savior! I could just stop there and let you contemplate that. It brings tears to my eyes. Even though I have sinned the blood of Jesus can purify me, can cleanse me, and can make me right once again. I will never be perfect but I strive to be like Christ in all I say and do. I continue to praise and thank my Savior for the gift of His blood, His justification, and making me right in the eyes of God. Praise the Lord Jesus for His sacrifice, for His love, and for the gift of bridging the gap between myself and the powerful just God. Praise and thank the Lord for washing you white as snow with His righteous blood. Praise the Lord for saving you from the sin that entangles us all. Praise Jesus for being the bridge to the Lord. Praise Him for all He is today and every day! If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior the free gift of salvation and freedom from sin is waiting for you. All you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as the King, Master, and Ruler of your life and know that Jesus died on the cross and rose again to save you from your sin. Remember it does not matter what you have done. Jesus will take you as you are and wash you white as snow with His purifying blood.

I Pray to Be

I Pray to Be
By: Amber Johnson
Dedicated to: My Mom

Singing along
Creating moves to match the song
Rolling on the floor
Till I can’t breathe anymore
Every day with you
Is a jump into
The world of smiles
That last for miles
The world of joy
Which nothing can destroy
The world of you
Which gives me a view
Of whom I pray to be
A person my kids would delight to see
A person in Christ who is completely free
A person anyone would agree
Is the light of heaven
the joy and hope of earth
And the best Christ can call His own

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!! I love you with all my heart!!! You are the greatest gift the Lord has ever blessed me with and I thank God for you every second of every day!!! I love you!!!!

Parting the Seas in Your Life

Exodus 14: 29-31
 29 But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. 30 That day the LORD saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. 31 And when the Israelites saw the great power the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant.

How GREAT is the LORD ALMIGHTY!!! How awesome is His power!!! This scripture is another grand picture of how God saves those who love Him and how He does work miracles. All through Exodus we see the glory and miracles of the Lord and the love He has for His people. The amazing thing is that the Lord is the same then, now, and forever. He still unconditionally loves His children and He still does miracles. I think so many times when we are reading through the Bible and we think how awesome the miracles were and forget that the Lord still does miracles in our lives to this day. He can part the seas of pain, of hardship, of difficulty, of struggle, and guide you through on dry ground saving you from whatever destruction may be following behind. Just remember that nothing is impossible for the Lord God Almighty!!! He can and does do miracles. Trust and surrender your life to Him and allow Him to work in your life today!!!

Wisdom's Call

Part 2: Wisdom’s Call
By: Amber Johnson

When your walls come crashing down
Do you heed wisdom’s call
Or run towards your own Sodom and Gomorrah
For comfort, for encouragement, for help
Does your pain blind you?
Do you even want to see through
the tears and the hurt?
Take your eyes and avert
Them towards Christ’s light
Take your ears and listen
To the Bible’s wisdom that’s always right
Do not let your mind focus
On the plague infested locusts
But the freedom, the salvation, and the hope
Let Christ be the rope
You climb when you need a way out
 Christ is all this life should be about
So begin to erase the sin
Allow Christ to save you from the chains
Of bondage that land you in your sin, past, and pain
Break free, answer wisdom’s call, and worship the Savior
That made a new foundation to rebuild those walls that came crashing down

Proverbs 8

Wisdom's Call
 1 Does not wisdom call out?
       Does not understanding raise her voice? 2 On the heights along the way,
       where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
 3 beside the gates leading into the city,
       at the entrances, she cries aloud:
 4 "To you, O men, I call out;
       I raise my voice to all mankind.
 5 You who are simple, gain prudence;
       you who are foolish, gain understanding.
 6 Listen, for I have worthy things to say;
       I open my lips to speak what is right.
 7 My mouth speaks what is true,
       for my lips detest wickedness.
 8 All the words of my mouth are just;
       none of them is crooked or perverse.
 9 To the discerning all of them are right;
       they are faultless to those who have knowledge.
 10 Choose my instruction instead of silver,
       knowledge rather than choice gold,
 11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies,
       and nothing you desire can compare with her.
 12 "I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence;
       I possess knowledge and discretion.
 13 To fear the LORD is to hate evil;
       I hate pride and arrogance,
       evil behavior and perverse speech.
 14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine;
       I have understanding and power.
 15 By me kings reign
       and rulers make laws that are just;
 16 by me princes govern,
       and all nobles who rule on earth. [a]
 17 I love those who love me,
       and those who seek me find me.
 18 With me are riches and honor,
       enduring wealth and prosperity.
 19 My fruit is better than fine gold;
       what I yield surpasses choice silver.
 20 I walk in the way of righteousness,
       along the paths of justice,
 21 bestowing wealth on those who love me
       and making their treasuries full.
 22 "The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, [b] , [c]
       before his deeds of old;
 23 I was appointed [d] from eternity,
       from the beginning, before the world began.
 24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth,
       when there were no springs abounding with water;
 25 before the mountains were settled in place,
       before the hills, I was given birth,
 26 before he made the earth or its fields
       or any of the dust of the world.
 27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,
       when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
 28 when he established the clouds above
       and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
 29 when he gave the sea its boundary
       so the waters would not overstep his command,
       and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
 30 Then I was the craftsman at his side.
       I was filled with delight day after day,
       rejoicing always in his presence,
 31 rejoicing in his whole world
       and delighting in mankind.
 32 "Now then, my sons, listen to me;
       blessed are those who keep my ways.
 33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;
       do not ignore it.
 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me,
       watching daily at my doors,
       waiting at my doorway.
 35 For whoever finds me finds life
       and receives favor from the LORD.
 36 But whoever fails to find me harms himself;
       all who hate me love death."
