Smiling in Surrender

We need to learn to smile in surrender. Surrender is giving something (ex: person or situation) up to the Lord and not asking for your own will to be done but His will to be done. When you surrender things it does not mean that everything will turn out the way you want it to. Maybe the situation that you surrendered did not go the way you planned. Yet, when you look at the situation and revisit it you know that the Lord's will was done. The next time you have a surrendered situation that you believe comes a little far from perfect, look at it again. Ask yourself- Was God glorified in this situation? Did He use you to further His kingdom? Was His Word proclaimed? Was a lost soul able to see Christ in your actions? When you answer yes you can smile knowing God always has the right plan and outcome even if it may at first look a little far from perfect.
